Genie Joseph produces a show on channel 55 on Olelo TV on a monthly basis. Genie Joseph is an award winning filmmaker and screenwriter. She is the creator of the Act Resilient Training Program which uses Improvisational Comedy to help restore resilience and optimism. She has worked with over 2500 soldiers and is a certified PTSD Counselor.
With an MA in Communications and an MFA in Screenwriting, she is an Adjunct Professor at Chaminade University in Honolulu. A former radio talk show host, she currently hosts "The Genie Show" where she has interviewed hundreds of guests from all areas of contribution to the understanding of positive perspectives to life.
Her passion is to work with animals in a healing way. She has worked with Therapy Dogs at Tripler Medical Center. Genie's 30 minute talk interview with Liz Rizzo and her service/therapy dog Buddy will be aired on Channel 55 in Honolulu. It will be available online at Olelo.org after November 14th. Liz spoke about the therapy dog program, Pet Partners and "Puppies Behind Bars", a prison program that trains service dogs.
