'Honky Tonk Christmas' comes to Atlanta's country bars

What’s your favorite country Christmas song? Whether your tastes run to covers of traditional carols, “Christmas in Dixie” or “The Redneck 12 Days of Christmas”, you’re sure to find some holiday entertainment at the Christmas Eve parties throughout the area.

Wild Bill’s in Duluth hosts the “Officials 95.5 The Beat Christmas Eve Party,” promising loads of goodies and giveaways with DJ Johnny D. Wear your favorite holiday sweater or go all-in with an elf costume. Tickets are $15 for ages 18-20 and $10 for ages 21 and up.

At the 3-Legged Cowboy, Atlanta’s gay and lesbian C&W bar, there’s no cover charge on Christmas Eve for the annual pot luck dinner. And they’re also open Christmas Day, waiving the normal weekend $5 cover charge for anyone wearing a T-shirt or cap with the 3-Legged Cowboy logo.

While most other venues are closed Friday, on Saturday night you’ll find:
• AC/DC and Metallica tribute bands at Wild Bill’s. Tickets start at $12.
• Local bands and weekend fun at Cowboys in Kennesaw, The Swallow at the Hollow in Roswell, Wild West Bar and Grill in Holly Springs, Ozone Bar & Grill in Covington and Southern Comfort in Conley.
