On January 15, 2013 the Hong Kong Young Designers' Contest 2013 is being presented by the YDC. The YDC is the Hong Kong Young Designers' Contest organization that has put this fashion show together since 1977. The YDC mission statement is to "cultivate and promote a new generation of fashion design talents for the local garment and fashion industry, whose ideas will further enhance the image of Hong Kong as a fashion design center." This fashion contest is held every January during the Hong Kong Fashion Week and World Boutique Hong Kong that is produced by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council [HKTDC].
Among these competing talented young fashion designers are five students from the Institute of Textile & Clothing (ITC), that are among the 20 finalist at this Hong Kong Fashion Extravaganza 2013 being held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Their names are: Chueng Hui Ha, Tam Pui Hang, Kwok Tsz Fung, Lee Pak Ho, and Lieu Wang.This is year for the world to pay attention to these talented young designers. VIP fashion designers from all over the world participate as judges in this fabulous fashion event.

Contestants must be under 35 years of age on the date of deadline for entries.
Contestants must be permanent Hong Kong residents and HKID card holder.
Contestants must possess relevant experience in the fashion design industry. In case of fashion design students, their application forms must be endorsed by their schools.
