Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) president, Christopher C. (Chris) Gentile will present as part of the Central Exchange's CEO Series from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on February 12 at the Central Exchange downtown Kansas City location.
Honeywell FM&T manages and operates the National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City Plant (KCP) under a prime contract with the U.S. Department of Energy.
As the NNSA’s premier nonnuclear manufacturing facility, the KCP provides diverse engineering and manufacturing services for national security including production of sophisticated mechanical, electronic and engineered material components for the nuclear security enterprise and other government agencies. Honeywell FM&T has an annual operating budget of $560 million with approximately 2,700 employees located in Missouri, New Mexico and Arkansas.
- Prior to his current position, Gentile served as vice president of NNSA programs for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions.
- In this role, he led 1,500 employees through all aspects of the NNSA contracted work which included Tritium Operations; Waste Solidification Building construction project ($342 million); and the Pit Disassembly and Conversion construction project ($4.8 billion).
- He and his team earned an unprecedented 94 percent of award fee revenue in FY2009 and 95 percent in FY2010 by establishing a stronger leadership team focused on all aspects of business performance rather than just operational performance.
Gentile started his Honeywell career in 1989. His career began in environmental and waste management and quickly rose to other areas of the business such as Six Sigma, engineering, supply chain management, and all external customer focused programs that included business development, sales, and program management. The solid, diverse technical background helped Gentile earn a strong reputation of increasing company-wide efficiencies, quality and business excellence while reducing costs to his customers. Gentile is a proven leader that drives change and unprecedented performance.
Gentile holds an MBA, Executive Fellows, from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in biology from the Central Missouri State University. Additionally, Gentile is Black Belt trained and Green Belt certified.
