Will Honey Boo Boo's mom be on DWTS? On Feb. 12, 2013, The Huffington Post reported the rumor of June Shannon, who lost 115 pounds recently, competing on "Dancing with the Stars," is untrue. This is according to a rep for TLC, the cable TV channel that hosts "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo."
Although the Mama June rumor may be just a rumor, having her on the show could be great for ratings. Despite its critics, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is popular enough to make Honey Boo Boo and her sisters mega rich. The episodes have allowed for $15K to $20K per show to be divided among the five girls - Honey Boo Boo, Lauryn, Jessica, Anna and Kaitlyn.
The new cast for "Dancing with the Stars" will be announced on Feb. 26 on "Good Morning America." A new season of DWTS begins March 18, 2013.
