Is Honey Boo Boo's mom doing DWTS? Rumors are swirling that Mama June from TLC's "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" will be competing on season 16 of "Dancing with the Stars." Can you even believe it? On Feb. 13, The Stir reported that the rumors won't be confirmed until the official new cast is revealed on "Good Morning America" on Mar. 18.
When rumors started that June Shannon would be on the new season, some people were confused and others were totally stoked. For starters, putting someone like Mama June on DWTS defeats the whole "stars" aspect of "Dancing with the Stars."
Honey Boo Boo's mom on DWTS is also drawing a lot of attention from people who don't usually watch the show. There is something about putting someone like June Shannon on a ballroom dance floor that makes people want to watch -- and maybe this is the reason that the producers have offered her a spot... assuming that the rumors are true.
If June Shannon does compete on the show, she probably won't make it too far. Reality television stars have done really well in the past (how about all-star winner Melissa Rycroft?) but will June have what it takes? More over, will people actually vote for her?
Honey Boo Boo mom could be on DWTS with other rumored celebs like Kourtney Kardashian and Victor Ortiz.
