Honey Boo Boo mom: 'DWTS' chances are a long shot

A few months back, "Dancing with the Stars" pros were asked if they would be up for Honey Boo Boo to take part in the show. The answer was an emphatic "no." Now Honey Boo Boo mom "DWTS" rumors have kicked into gear, but Reality TV Magazine reported on Feb. 13 that those rumors appear about as likely as the ones concerning her daughter.

Recently, it seemed like June Shannon might be heading to the dance floor to battle for the mirror ball trophy, which should have been a sight to behold. Thanks to her spunky daughter, Honey Boo Boo, she has maneuvered herself and her entire family into the world of celebrity reality TV stars. That make she qualified for the dancing competition, although the results might be a little more than the dancing pros are used to.

According to the New York Post, a "DWTS" insider claims that Shannon is a front-runner for the 16th season of the show. However, The Huffington Post spoke to a representative for TLC, the network that "Honey Boo Boo" airs on, and they said that it was nothing more than a rumor and June Shannon will not be competing on the show.

With an insider claiming that a Honey Boo Boo mom "DWTS" match-up is in the works, it is more likely that the representative for the network that writes her checks is a little more in the light on the situation. Is June Shannon shaking what she's got something you want to see on "Dancing with the Stars?"
