On Sunday March 3 June “Mama” Shannon made the announcement on the official Facebook page, that the show must go on. The “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” mom and the rest of the Honey Boo Boo clan; including Sugar Bear, Pumpkin, Chubbs, Chickadee and baby Kaitlyn, were going to be at the Milledgeville mall in Georiga to help sell Girl Scout cookies. The family would be there helping the troop sell $3.50 boxes of Girl Scout cooking until 6 p.m. CST.
On March 4, TMZ reported that the “sales must go on” and published a photo of Alana standing in front of a table of cookies with a sign saying “Girl Scout cookies $3.50 each” that you could clearly tell was made by little hands. Alana would even pose by the customers for a photo if they purchased five boxes or more.
When June Shannon told the world she wasn’t going to stop selling cookies she meant it. Detroit Television Examiner reported the trouble Honey Boo Boo was facing by helping a friend sell the cookies. The Girls Scouts of America were not happy with the way she was selling the cookies. June lashed out saying their town is small and many members of the community cannot afford a box of cookies. She has made it her mission to help Alana’s friend.
We think it’s great seeing a young girl use her popularity for something good; and this time she’s following the rules.
