Honey Boo Boo becomes a trust baby

Honey Boo Boo's mother, June, has set up a trust fund for Honey Boo Boo. In a report dated Jan. 5, it was explained that she set up a trust fund for each of the five girls who star on “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.”

TMZ also reported on Jan. 5 that the family makes between $15,000 to $20,000 per episode. That money is then equally divided between Honey Boo Boo and the other four girls.

“I certainly hope they take care of the kids' future,” Teresa Davis, from Oklahoma City, said. “I think of all the child stars who had their money wasted. Unfortunately, I think most child stars don't do well. With the exception of Ron Howard and the girl who played Blair [Lisa Welchel], most of them have had more than their share of troubles.”

Honey Boo Boo's mother wants her children to be able to say “Mama played it smart” when it comes to money. She claims that they don't spend any of the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” money. They live on what Sugarbear earns as a contractor.

That appears to be true. The biggest purchase the family has made since they became household names was for a Ford Expedition. The Ford Expedition was made in 2005.
