One look tells you all you need to know about who the competition is here. With a V4 engine and Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), Honda has unveiled its challenge to VMW's GS-series adventure bikes at the EICMA 2010 show in Milan, Italy, which wraps up today.
Dubbed the V4 Crosstourer Concept, Honda says the bike is the world's first V4 adventure tourer and "will deliver all the fun and excitement of a road sports bike; but with the comfortable upright riding position and manoeuvrability of an adventure machine."
The V2 Crosstourer Concept will sport the same engine used by the Honda VFR1200F, and is their second bike to feature DCT. DCT features two separate clutches, one for odd and the other for even gears. This semi-automatic or automated manual gear shift design "gives seamless gear changes for a sport riding feel," says Honda.
In addition to the 1200cc Crosstourer, Honda has also introduced an 800cc model, the Crossrunner.

interesting, it'll be good for the BMW GS to have some worthy competition, can't have them resting on their laurels....
Interesting look for a Honda.
