Homestead Spartans move on to regionals in Indiana high school baseball

Fort Wayne, IN: The Homestead High School Spartans win the Huntington North Indiana Sectional 4 to 3 over the Huntington North Vikings. Tyler Mohsenzadeh, of Homestead, scored the an insurance run, making the score 4-2, in the bottom of the 6th, for Homestead, on a wild pitch and the Spartans needed it. Here is how this classic game ended: after scoring a run, in the top of the 7th inning, to make the score 4-3, the Vikings had the tying run on third base, and 2 outs. The Homestead pitcher, McLean Trigleglaff, struck out the last Huntington batter, who was then thrown out at first base due to a dropped third strike to complete the victory for the Spartans. Homestead plays in the Lafayette Regional next Saturday.
