If you have ever homeschooled, you know how neighbors and other well meaning people can be critical and questioning.
However, the intense growth of the homeschool movement is partly due to neighbors seeing the success of homeschoolers and wondering if they can do it themselves.
Some funny homeschooling ladies put together a great video for their support group kickoff meeting. Since this video was so popular last year, it is being republished for this holiday season.
This video song is a satire and shows 12 days of a neighbor asking many questions that homeschoolers typically receive, such as "How do you socialize?" and "Can they go to college?"
On the 13th day, the homeschooler thoughtfully replies to her neighbor's questions. My favorite responses sung to the 12 Days of Christmas: "They're missing nothing!" "We'll homeschool forever." and "YES WE ARE STRANGE!"
On the 14th day, the neighbor sings new questions to the homeschooling mom, asking how she can get started homeschooling.
Happy holidays to all homeschoolers and others who support them!
