Homeschoolers support GOP presidential candidates

The GOP presidential primaries are definitely heating up and well-known homeschooling figures are beginning to speak out about their personal preferences for the GOP presidential candidate.

According to the BLOG4President.us, Michael Farris, Home School Legal Defense Association Chairman, has commended to the voters Rick Santorum as the GOP 2012 presidential candidate. To read the article and quotes from Michael Farris and Rick Santorum visit BLOG4President.us.

On the other hand, the Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign has announced the names of some well-known homeschool figures as its newest members to the Homeschoolers for Ron Paul nationwide coalition and have joined its national advisory board.

Mary and Bill Pride, founders of Practical Homeschooling magazine, endorse Ron Paul as the GOP 2012 presidential candidate for a number of reasons, including his stand for a Constitutional government.

Jim Bob Howard, former editor of Homeschooling Today magazine, has this to say according to Ron Paul’s election website, “What I care about is that he’s a Godly man of character and conviction, who has made himself a lifelong student of liberty and personal responsibility.”

CEO and founder of Classical Conversations, Inc., Leigh Bortins, from Seven Lakes, North Carolina, also supports Ron Paul for a variety of reasons as does the owner of Homeschool resource website www. HomeschoolChristian.com and founder of the Brevard Homeschool Support group in Florida, Martha Robinson.

To read the many reasons these homeschoolers support Ron Paul in their own words, visit Ron Paul’s election website.

If you are interested in learning more about the coalition, you can visit the Homeschoolers for Ron Paul face book page.

Rick Santorum also has a face book page at Homeschoolers for Rick Santorum.

If anyone knows of any local groups of homeschoolers who have organized to support these or any other candidates, please share that with us in the comments section.
