Homeschoolers can enter NASA design contest

Did you know Buzz Lightyear is a real space ranger?  Mr. Lightyear served 15 months on board the International Space Station (ISS).  To commemorate the 12-inch action hero's historic journey, Disney Parks and NASA announced a Mission Patch Design Challege for children 6-12 years old.

Go online and download materials to design a Buzz mission patch.  Children must also submit a brief essay (up to 100 words) describing the inspiration for their design.  Enter by November 6.

The winner, parent, and two guests will receive a 3-day, 2-night vacation to Walt Disney World Resort and a VIP tour of the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

To infinity and beyond!
