Are you looking for a craft class that you and your child can do together? Pied Piper Crafts, a family-owned business in the Minneapolis arts district, offers a variety of creative and practical classes for children and adults alike. Their most recent offering, a Kitchen Loom class, starts Friday, October 21st at 1:00. The class will meet for three consecutive Fridays and participants will take home a finished Kitchen Loom for their homes.
Parents and their children can work together to create a working kitchen loom. Participants will build a floor-standing simple loom of pine. No prior wood-working experience is necessary. During the second and third sessions, attendees will learn to string the loom and begin weaving. Although the loom does fold for easy storage, many families opt to keep their looms set up permanently, so that family members can work on weaving throughout the day.
Cost for the class is $58.00. For ages 10 and up; younger children are welcome with an adult partner.
