In California, there are several ways to homeschool while satisfying the compulsory attendance laws. One of the options is to enroll in a public charter school which has a home education program.
The law allows for residents of Los Angeles county to enroll in any charter school which is in LA county, or in an adjacent county.

This is a list of available charter schools for Los Angeles homeschoolers. Are you enrolled in any of these schools?
AV Learning Academy: In Palmdale, just north of Los Angeles in the south part of Kern county, the AV Learning center offers both a homeschool program, as well as a hybrid program with three-hour classes Tuesday through Thursday. The program serves grades K-12.
California Virtual Academy: An online charter school which serves K-12 students. They have their own curriculum, and are available all over California.
Capistrano Connections Academy: Based in San Clemente, in Orange County, this charter school serves K-12 students in Los Angeles. Check out one ofo their upcoming information nights in July and August.
Golden Valley: This charter is located in Ventura, and has negotiated relationships with a lot of vendors in Los Angeles. For K-12 students, they don't have on-site classes, but they do have fieldtrips.
Gorman Learning Center: This school is based in San Bernardino county, and serves students K-12. According to their website, the focus is to prepare students for a job or for college.
Insight School of Los Angeles: This is another entirely virtual online school for K-12, based out of Lancaster. All students get a laptop while they are enrolled.
Sky Mountain: Another Los Angeles charter school which has a lot of vendors in Los Angeles. Serves students K-12, and is based out of Placerville.
Valley Oaks Charter School: Based out of Bakersfield, this school serves Los Angeles K-12 homeschoolers, with field trips and has several vendors in Kern county.
