Homeschool families from Phoenix and all around Arizona are invited to this annual event. What a great way to meet other homeschoolers and have opportunity to hear speakers on several interesting careers and colleges, and get some college prep information under your belt.

What is the Youth Seminar?
A fun and fascinating all-day event (lunch is included!) of a series of sessions, in which you choose from a wide variety of speakers, demonstrations, and hands-on workshops, with each presenting on careers, topics of interest, organizations, college prep, and more!
Who can attend?
ALL grade 6-12 homeschool students and parents -- you do NOT have to be CHET-SE members, so invite your friends!
How much is it?
Registrations postmarked on/before Feb. 19 = $16 for the first person and $8 for each additional family member.
Registrations postmarked after Feb. 19 or at the door = $20 for the first person and $12 for each additional family member. Remember, this fee also includes you lunch, beverage, and a snack! A limited number of scholarships are available; contact Terry Ufford at 760-3791 for information.
Are parents required to attend?
No, you may drop off your students. However, those parents who do attend always really enjoy the Youth Seminar. It's a great opportunity for parents to gather information about college/career prep, meet college reps, and enjoy listening to sessions with their students!

- Demo: Pinnacle Peak Pistoleros (Trail Dust Town stunt performers)
- Demo: FIRST Robotics (St. Gregory High School Robotics Club)
- Demo: martial arts & personal safety
- Hands-on workshop: Iris Folding (origami-like artform)
- Hands-on workshop: free career interest inventory test
- DEA special agent
- Wildlife rescue and removal
- Astronomy: discovering new planets
- U.S. Navy Sea Cadets program for ages 11-17
- Computer manipulated images
- Speech pathology & therapy
- WWII / Cold War airplane restoration
- Bank fraud investigation
- College prep session (transcripts, applications, scholarships, etc.)
