A homeowner called the police around 7:30 a.m. to report that there was a naked man asleep on his sofa.
The Pacific Beach resident said he woke up this morning, walked downstairs and was surprised by a man he didn't know, asleep on his coach with no clothes on.
The man's clothes were found laying outside, and evidently he had removed them before coming inside. He then let himself in through an unlocked front door, laid down on the couch, and passed out.
"The guy was hammered. He thought he was in his own home in Mission Valley. Instead, he was in the 700 block of Diamond Street," said San Diego Police LT. Jim Filley.
The homeowner didn't press charges and after the police questioned the naked stranger, he was allowed to leave and find his way home.
