Important international conference, on securing free nations against terrorist activity, issuing call for technical papers
DALLAS (Jan. 22, 2012) – The 2013 IEEE International Conference for Technologies on Homeland Security has issued a call for technical papers to be submitted for consideration at the conference.
The focus of the call for papers, posters and tutorials is on emerging technologies in the areas of: cyber security; land and maritime border security; biometrics and forensics; attack and disaster preparation—recovery and response.
Abstract submissions should focus on technologies with applications available for implementation within five years. All areas will cover the following common topics:
• Strategy and threat characterization, CONOPs, risk analysis
• Modeling, simulation, experimentation, training
• Testbeds, standards and evaluations.
Also known as IEEE HST 2013, the conference will be held 12-14 November 2013 in Waltham, MA, and bring together global science and technology thought leaders to foster homeland security technology innovation. The conference is produced by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) with technical support from Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology (DHS S&T), IEEE Biometrics Council, IEEE Boston Section and IEEE-USA, as well as with organizational support from MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Raytheon, Battelle and MITRE.
