Homeland Security Chief's arrogance creating problems for Obama?

Obama may regret the day he chose Janet Napolitano as head of Homeland Security. The fact that the information about veterans and other groups that have been singled out as probable terrorists was leaked by someone in a law enforcement agency sends a clear message.  Someone thought that this was a threat to the freedom of dissent that is so treasured by Americans.

Unlike many countries around the world, spying on each other is not approved by U.S. citizens.  They look more to who is promoting the spying because it infringes on rights that Americans respect.  Apparently, Napolitano needs some lessons in American history.

What made matters worse was the report coming out as thousands of Americans attend TEA Parties across the countries.  It made some wonder whether they were under surveillance by the Federal Government as they carried placards protesting what is already being seen as a loss of freedom under the Obama administration.

What Napolitano has done to draw attention to the Obama administration and make it look either inept in choosing someone so ill-fitted to head Home Security or that she is a front for his own plans to maintain power by putting down dissent.

The best thing Obama can probably do at this point is to ask Napolitano to resign or quietly find a reason to send her back to Arizona. If neither happens, he may rue the day that once again the vetting process failed and that he will spend a lot of time defending her inaptitude because she is the wrong person for the job.

Looks like Janet Reno has risen from the ashes!

Napolitano needs to resign as the disgrace she is.

Why was she even allowed to take the position I can not fathom. How she allowed her own state to become the KIDNAPPING CAPITAL of the country due to illegal alien drug gangs and then allowed to let the same thing happen to the entire country is shameful. And HIGHLY dangerous.

Happy Indep- makes a great point! I myself have never drawn distinctions between political and "narco" terrorist as both will murder and kidnap with impunity. If anyone should understand the danger of our border it should be Napolitano, but unfortunately she worships at the altar of political correctness and to think we are wasting resources on searching for potential right wing extremist in the military ranks while Mexico is in the middle of a collapse is beyond comprehension. We have in LA where I live thousands of illegal gang members terrorizing neighborhoods and we are afraid to address the issue (I blame the Bush admin. also). I feel at times that I’m living in a parallel universe when I read about something like this.
