Little miss happy feet

Update 5/17/14: Adopted!!

On April 11, a sweet young dog, just barely over a year in age, was brought to the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif., after being picked up as a stray.

Her intake photo is generic...she looks like "just another" homeless pit bull. But a volunteer captured her true essence in a photo...she captured the gorgeous copper color of her eyes...the same beautiful eyes which reflect intelligence and a loving heart.

We do not know this lovely girl's name, but one might choose to call her "Happy Feet" based upon her behavior when someone approaches her kennel run. "Happy Feet" dances and wiggles from head to toe when she thinks that she may have the opportunity to be on the receiving end of attention (watch a video here).

Miss Happy Feet has been at the animal control facility for nearly a month - without networking help, she may not ever have the chance to share her zest for life with a loving guardian.

Please take a moment to network on behalf of this gorgeous pup - the thought of such a happy, healthy dog being gone forever is heartbreaking.
