Home for the holidays: Osiris from Good Mews

See also

This year there are thousands of homeless pets in shelters in metro Atlanta who all have the same Christmas wish - a forever home for the holidays. They are dreaming of waking up on Christmas morning in a home where they are loved and cherished and are a member of the family. Between now and December 31, I will be featuring pets from local shelters and rescue groups who want nothing more than their very own human and a warm place to sleep at night.

Today’s featured pet is Osiris from Good Mews Animal Foundation. Osiris is an eight-year old male gray and white domestic short hair kitty. Here is his plea to Santa that he posted this morning on the Good Mews Facebook page:

Dear Santa,

It is me, Osiris. Just checking in to see if you got my Christmas list. I know - I only had two requests: 1 - a loving home and, 2 - a loving home for my friends. I guess I could have put toys and treats on there, but I would gladly give those up for a nice family to love me.

I started to think it was impossible that I would ever find a home, but we have had a lot of shy or long-term residents find their new homes, so I think there really is some hope for me!

I know it is going to take a very special person to adopt me because I really don’t show well on adoption days. But either did those other kitties and they have all been reporting in on how well they are doing. So I will do well in a home too!

So Santa, do you think you can try to find me that special home? I have been such a good boy all year, so there shouldn’t be any reason why I can’t get my Christmas wish. And if you could also help spread the word about our adoption special-Adopt ‘Til You Drop! All kitties have a reduced adoption fee of $75. Maybe that will help?
