This is a holy week for Christians all over the world. It is a time, starting with Palm Sunday and ending with Resurrection Sunday a.k.a. Easter, to remember the events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many churches throughout the Baltimore region are hosting different events and celebratory activities for their members and the general public. One local church, Restoring Life International Church (RLIC), put a different spin on its Holy Week activities.

Commencing with a power-packed message by Senior Pastor Kenneth O. Robinson, Jr. on Palm Sunday, RLIC's ministerial staff and leaders kicked-off their Holy Week celebration on Monday, April 2nd with a Down at the Beach Baptism service. Attendees were encouraged to wear beach attire, minus the swimsuits, and enjoyed an old-time baptism service coordinated by the youth leaders at RLIC. Close to two dozen people were baptized and Youth Pastor, Andre Taylor, delivered the evening's message.

RLIC hosted a special communion service commemorating the Last Supper on Wednesday, April 4th. The ministerial staff and leaders of the church hosted A 5-STAR Last Supper Event for attendees. Local Christian artists, Alton Scarborough and Wilbur Nichols, ministered in song along with RLIC's Inner Court Band as part of a jazz-inspired evening of praise and worship. Associate Pastor, Glen Johnson, preached the evening's message and communion was led by Senior Pastor Kenneth O. Robinson, Jr. "The service was not a traditional communion service, but very symbolic of the sacrifice Jesus made for all mankind along with a powerful delivery of the Word of God," said RLIC member, Tanya Dorsey.

Other activities scheduled for this week at Restoring Life International church (RLIC) include The 7 Last Words of Jesus told through Dance & Drama scheduled tonight, April 6th at 7 p.m. and The Elevation services scheduled Sunday, April 8th at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. RLIC is located 401 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville, MD and is accessible by the #53 and #59 MTA buses.
