Pathetic when you can name the three stars with a few minutes left in the game! Even worse when most viewers knew that the game was over when Pietrangelo scored with less than five minutes left in the third. Thirty-three years of watching hockey and this has never happened before. In order to prevent any further drama, the three stars were 1. The Bulin Wall, 2. T.J. Oschie and 3. Alex Pietrangelo.
Without the Bulin Wall, this one would have been over in the first period. Really can’t give props to anyone else as they all were barely hanging on. Petry broke two sticks in his only two really good scoring chances, Ryan Smyth has taken the place of Hemsky as being our number one giveaway artist and Paajarvi can’t make a pass if his life depended on it. Last but not least, Sutton made sure that we had some 5 on 3 practice, albeit his elbow was a phantom call.
The only good news is that Taylor Hall (photo) finally made an appearance and boy does he look bad. Hard to believe but Stauffer said he actually looked worse following the Columbus game...YIKES. Hopefully he doesn’t return for at least a week to reduce the risk of those stitches opening up.
