Winner of the 2013 Hollywood Fringe Festival’s “Best Fringe Festival Musical Award,” The Pokémusical follows the first journey of Ash, Misty, Brock, Pikachu and more as they traverse Kanto. This musical adventure is viewed through the eyes of a 10 year old boy with a dream and is based off of the highly successful Japanese media franchise of the same name that included a video game, anime, manga, trading cards, toys and books.

The word Pokémon is a combination of the words Poketto Monsuta and means Pocket Monsters. The original story involves Pokémon Trainers whose goals are to collect as many Pokémon as possible and to train a team of powerful Pokémon to compete against other teams. The ultimate goal is to become the strongest trainer or the Pokémon Master.

The Pokémusical features lyrics and an original book by Alex Syiek, music by Andrew L. Cooper and Musical Direction by Jennifer Lin. The production is Directed and Staged by Joanna Syiek.

The Pokémusical opens on Friday, September 6th, with performances on Fridays at 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays at midnight through September 28th. General admission is $20.
