Holly Madison lost over 30 pounds just seven months after giving birth to daughter Rainbow, thanks to a low-calorie diet and regular workouts.
Madison said diet was more important than exercise when it came to shedding the baby weight, and recently launched her own diet program to share with other moms.
The 5-foot-4 Madison slimmed down to about 110 pounds by consuming 1,000 to 1,100 calories a day and doing Pilates, yoga and cardio workouts on the treadmill.
Holly's diet was high-carb and low-fat — the exact opposite of the low-carb, high-fat Atkins diet that helped Kim Kardashian lose over 25 pounds.
Madison, a former junk-food addict, said what worked best for her was focusing on portion control and eating healthy foods.
"I really wanted to eat more healthy while I was pregnant so I started reading a lot of nutrition books," she told People. "It was really through diet that I lost the weight.
I used to be the most unhealthy person. I would eat fast food every day because I was on the go. When you have someone else's life in your hands, you become more aware of nutrition."
The 33-year-old former Playboy model confessed she only cared about being skinny — not healthy — before becoming a mom, but now that has changed.
"Before [Rainbow was born], I was work, work, work, but as long as I stayed somewhat skinny that was all I cared about," said Holly. "Now it's a totally different thing. Now I want to be healthy and at a proper weight for healthful reasons."
