Mann, who viewers will recall had retired to Hawaii, is partnered with former flame Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and team to prevent the wayward surveillance drone from being used in a terror attack.

Also in episode 12 of the 11th season of NCIS, actress Julie Ann Emery makes a guest starring appearance. Fans of the show that frequent Twitter will have seen pictures of Emery duct taped and tied in the back of a van courtesy NCIS actor/director Michael Weatherly. There has been no leak as to the reason for Emery's character being abducted, so we'll just have to wait until Tuesday to find out more!

As a side plot in 'Kill Chain', Tim McGee (Sean Murray) hesitates to ask for time off to attend a black-tie gala honoring his girlfriend Delilah Fielding (Margo Harshman).

'Kill Chain' was written by Christopher Silber ('Once a Crook', 'Blowback') and directed by James Whitmore, Jr. ('Past, Present, and Future', 'Up In Smoke').
