Holley Performance to build tower at National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park

Holley Performance Products, makers of carburetors, electronic fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, and many other components for high-performance street and used in nearly all forms of racing including NHRA Pro Stock racers and all NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cars* has joined in a special partnership with the National Corvette Museum (NCM) Motorsports Park. The company will be sponsoring the park’s control tower and event center in Bowling Green, KY. The 12,600 sq-foot duplex facility is being designed to “mimic” the museum) and will include a race control room,classroom space, reception and administration offices, meeting rooms, lobby/retail area, restrooms, catering kitchen, storage and more, according to a press release. In addition, a Winners’ Circle Podium is planned for the building’s paddock side.Construction on the Holley Control Tower and Event Center is expected to begin next year.

“It is only fitting that two great American motorsport brands like Corvette and Holley unite with our sponsorship of the NCM Motorsports Park,” stated Trevor Wiggins, Holley VP of sales. “This track is going to secure Bowling Green’s identity as a motorsports town and we’re proud to be a part of it.”

“We have been talking to Holley since we first announced that we were building a motorsports park and they were as excited as we were,” added said Mitch Wright, general manager of the NCM Motorsports Park. “Those conversations grew into something bigger and we are thrilled to have them on board.”
With over one mile of frontage on Interstate 65 and located across from the National Corvette Museum (NCM) and the GM Corvette Assembly Plant, the NCM Motorsports Park is one of the most centrally located and easily accessible driving facilities in the country."

Note: According to a report from Holley, itself, the company (which began operations in the 1880's) “supplied over half the carburetors in WWII including “variable venturii carburetors on the DC-3 airplane, Packard powered PT boats to the B-25s used in Jimmy Doolittle’s air raid on Tokyo, etc.” The company also proudly boasts that Holley carbprators “have powered every NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team and nearly every winning NHRA® Pro Stock team since the 1960s and every weekend still this season.”
