Kids screaming, dogs jumping and going nuts, over stuffed suitcases and the constant nag of “Are we there yet?” can only mean one thing, the holidays are here.
With the traveling season upon us, there is a lot of prepping and organizing that everyone is getting ready to go through to go home for the holidays. Although everyone is gearing up for the air and/or road ahead, there are easier ways to make traveling easier and safer, if not cheaper. These following tips will help you begin your holiday journey without all the headaches and the stress.
We all are guilty to traveling during the time where traffic and flights are booked and it can be the longest hours of your life. Instead of leaving around the same week of Christmas, try leaving a week before the holiday. Why a week? Simply because the roads will be more open making for less commuter time.
Know the routes and even alternative routes you want to take to avoid any delays and road blocks making the commute longer.
Make sure everything is set
Hotels, rentals and even family housing should all be ready for you upon arrival. There is nothing worse than arriving at your destination with no place to stay for the holidays.
These are just some of the basics to get you ready for the holiday season.
