With the passing of Halloween, the holiday season begins and with it comes some some of Denver's favorite holiday traditions, such as the lighting of Civic Center, the Parade of Lights and the Oxford Hotel Dolls' Tea Party.
For more than half a century, little girls, their moms and friends have been coming to the Oxford Hotel for a classic holiday afternoon tea party. Dressed in party clothes, they sip hot cocoa and nibble on tea sandwiches and sweet treats while watching ballerinas from the Arvada Center Dance Academy perform just for them. Afterward, the dancers pose for photos with the guests.
This year's event will be Sunday, December 1 at the LoDo boutique hotel at 1600 17th St. Two seatings are available: 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Each child will receive gifts of a teddy bear and a cookie cutter. In return, the hotel is asking each family to bring a new teddy bear to brighten up the holidays for the patients at Children's Hospital Colorado.
Dolls’ Tea tickets are are $28 for children and $48 for adults. To make a reservation, send an email to email@example.com or leave a voicemail at 303-628-5482 with your name, preferred seating, number of adults and children and your phone number.
