Let the holiday countdown begin!   December is coming in with a blast this Thursday.  And Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 7:30 PM, the Count Basie has a Holiday DooWop show featuring Herb Cox & The Cleftones "This Little Girl of Mine," and more!  The more is the sensational:

 Then you'll have the whole week to get ready for the Nutcracker Ballet, performances begin at the Count Basie on Thursday, December 8, 2011.  There will be many shows to choose from, starting at 10AM and 5PM.  Check the Count Basie Calendar for the times of the Nutcracker Ballet.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s stirring score; soloists from NYC ballet companies join the accomplished local dancers in the most popular ballet of all time. Youngsters as well as the young-at-heart will delight with Clara as she journeys with her Nutcracker through the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets to meet the Sugarplum Fairy.
