It's that time of year again, the holiday season. Time for decorating, shopping, and wrapping those fun gifts. Even though it's a busy time, there's no time like the holidays to take time out for entertaining the grandkids.

While entertaining the grandkids, you're doing several things. You're giving parents time to do their shopping for the kiddies, and you can take the grandkids shopping and get some ideas for gifts they might like. There are plenty of fun places to shop in the Columbus, Ohio area. Eastland Shopping Mall is always gaily decorated, plus while there you can take in a fun movie for the kids. As well as all the shops, there are restaurants so you can pretty much make a day of it in one place.

All kids love horses so what more fun than a horse drawn carriage ride. Beginning November 18 through December 23rd at Easton Town Center's North District. Times on Friday and Saturday are 6-10 pm and Sunday 3-7 pm. You can go on December 21, 22, and 23 as well from 6-10 pm. Admission is $10.00 with children under 15 being admitted free with an adult.

For a schedule of just some of the holiday actitivities scheduled for 2011 in Columbus, Ohio visit In And Around Columbus . They have listings of times and dates as well as detailed information on each activity.

If there isn't time for shopping or an outing, a car ride to see all the holiday decorations is just as much of a treat for any child or helping Grandma and Grandpa decorate or do some holiday crafts.

The best holiday present for any grandparent is listening as a child (no matter what their age) shares their excitement about the holiday season.

~Happy Holidays~
