"The Beatles: Rock Band" Wii version. (Harmonix/MTV Games)
Retailers are trying to keep up the competition level in lowering prices for the holidays.
Walmart is advertising "The Beatles: Rock Band" - software only - for Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3 for $49.96 and
Nintendo Wii for $40. (The link showed the Wii version as out of stock online when we checked, but walk-in stores should have it.) According to a press release, the prices will remain in effect until Dec. 24.
Also, Vaughan and Michelle Kirby in Virginia emailed us that they found the new remastered CDs individually priced at $6.49 at Kroger's. That's the lowest price we've seen them anywhere.

Too bad we can't get ABBEY ROAD, the Beatles' biggest-selling album, on Amazon! Not since Sun. 29-Nov., when they put the out of stock notice on it. Then the estimate on a restock date was 4-Dec., already changed to 5-Dec.
Oh well, they're only the biggest online retailer in the US, and it's only the biggest shopping week of the year. Poor 'lil Capitol Wreckage can't be expected to keep them in stock!
Sorry, but I TOLD YA SO a few weeks ago. First it was the Stereo & Mono box sets in & out & in & out & in stock, now it's ABBEY ROAD! I wonder how many other individual titles will disappear, and for how long?! THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
I suspect by Spring Stereo remasters will be plentiful..the stereo box..I don't know and the Mono box ...anyone's guess..not very helpful. I know, but I thinkl the individual stereo cd's will be readily available ..maybe even by Feb..a lot of people did what I did Started with the Mono Box and Abbey Rd ...then either did or didnt pick up the other stereo ones gradually over few weeks. My biggest shock is the stereo White cd which I never really liked a lot and found the stereo remaster kills..a lot of times I do not have the equipment or ears to distinguish remasters at all but this one I thought would also be in high demand...
