Holiday martini garnishing made easy

Cocktails Examiner

Flipping through magazines, websites and television shows that highlight holiday martinis and cocktail recipes for the season can be fun with a slight daunting twist. Occasionally if not often garnishing goes over the top with such flair by the time the recipe trickles down to actual party show time martinis are either left without their ‘jewelry’ when served to guests or the standard lemon twist or lime wedge becomes cocktail window dressing. That is a shame when there are such easy martini and cocktail garnish options available for a wide range of drink recipes. Many garnishes can be made ahead of time so prep work is out of the way when party guests arrive.
The photo slide show below features 15 garnishing options for a variety of drink choices which might come into play at holiday parties this season. There are no recipes to sway opinion, but rather creative easy ideas to spark the imagination. Brief descriptions of the garnish appear to the right of each photo in the slideshow. This garnishing slideshow will become part of the
Holiday Cheer: Christmas to New Year Martini & Cocktail Recipe Guide which is updated weekly with the latest postings of holiday recipes and tips from this site and
The Intoxicologist site.

Your photographs are absolutely gorgeous! :-)
Hi Connie - Ordinarily I would say 'thank you, thank you, thank you!' My Intoxicologist.net site contains almost all of my own drink photography and some is on this site in my postings. It is a passion of mine. However, this particular post is drink photography sent to me from representatives of various spirit brands. I've only cropped and in a few added minor touch up to lighting if the photo was faded. But still, thank you on behalf of the liquor companies & the photographers who did take these shots. Every photographer is proud of their work. - Cheri Loughlin, The Intoxicologist
