Holiday lighting displays in Boise

If you and your family enjoy looking at holiday lighting displays, you have a number of options this year that range from costly to no cost at all.

On the pricier end of the spectrum is Winter Garden aGlow at Idaho Botanical Garden, open daily from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM through January 4.  The cost of admission is $6 for adults and $4 for children aged 4 to 12; that's $20 for a family of four, still a great value if you have the funds.

Rumor has it you may even catch a glimpse of Prancer, a real life reindeer, beginning December 19 through December 23.

Even if your family missed the Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, November 28, you can still enjoy Christmas in the City with an evening stroll through downtown Boise.  In addition to viewing holiday lights, your family can listen to carolers and other musical performances.

If you don't feel like driving downtown, you can take a stroll around your own neighborhood.

Some homes' holiday displays rival those of downtown Boise or even Winter Garden aGlow, such as the home pictured above.
