Holiday haunts; great pubs for a Christmas celebration

Christmas is nearly upon us.  Lights are strung up all over London, trees are twinkling in windows, and halls have been decked with bows of holly.  Shoppers are bustling all over the city, making sure they've gotten just the right gift (and just the right bargain) for everyone on their lists.

All that remains is the party planning.  While some of you may prefer to do the whole Martha/Delia Christmas dinner at home, many of us are taking the festivities outside the flat, to our local pubs.

Now, confession time: I wanted to do a little research on the top ten most festive pubs in London, but unfortunately I'm no more immune to the Christmas hustle and bustle than anyone else.  Luckily, Fancyapint.com has done the work for me, and compiled a fabulous list of recommended London pubs for a Christmas party.  I hope their list serves you well, and I promise to do my best and get on it much earlier next year.

Merry Christmas everybody!  And Happy end-of-Hanukkah (or Winter Solstice or Kwanza or anything else) to anybody who dares to defy the stubborn English obsession with Christian holidays!
