Has your furry kid been hounding you to go see Santa? This Saturday December 14th, Santa Claws will be taking pictures (and listening to your pups every wish) at Petsmart (286 W. Lake Mead Parkway Henderson, NV 89015) between 11 and 4. Bring your camera and a $5 dollar donation for the Animal Foundation. What better gift for the grandparents than a framed photo of your pooch?
For those of us who haven’t quite mastered photography, a professional holiday portrait is available through Las Vegas Pet Photos. $25 will get you 1 large format digital image on a CD for your printing use. Proceeds will benefit Chase Away K9 Cancer. Help out the animal community even more by turning your pet’s photo into a canvas or a pillow through PictoGraphics to benefit Hearts Alive Village. Appointments are available through the 17th of December and can be booked by visiting their website.
For the animal lover that already has everything, the Nevada SPCA is accepting donations for their no-kill shelter through Razoo. Online donations will be matched by a generous donor, so your contribution can do twice the work. Nothing says “holiday cheer” like knowing that kittens and puppies have the food, shelter and medical care they so desperately need. Another option for your donations is Noah’s Animal House. Located next to Shade Tree, they provide shelter and care for animals caught in domestic abuse. They also have a matching gift program set up for donations.
Finally, what better way is there to celebrate the holidays than giving a dog or cat the gift of a loving home? Please visit any of the Las Vegas shelters or rescue groups to adopt your new furry family member.
