Holiday Festivities and Santa Claus will soon be here.

How time has flown this year. Seems it was barely 2010 beginning. Now, here we are at the end of the month of November, preparing to cook our Thanksgiving meal and then looking forward to the coming holiday season.

The festivities will begin on December 1st with the scheduled arrival of Santa Claus at the Ohio Statehouse at 5:30 pm. Following his arrival will be the indoor festival in the Statehouse Rotunda, Atrim and Newly Renovated Crypt.

This is a free event for children and adults of all ages in Columbus, Ohio and throughtout central Ohio. During the event, visitors are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item that will be donated to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.

  • The Nutcracker-Balletmet

If you love ballet, especially during the holidays, you can catch The Nutcracker-Balletmet December 10th. through the 26th. Tickets are currently on sale. Contact the Ohio Threatre, 39 East State Street, Columbus, Ohio. 614-469-0939

Once the holiday season is in full swing, of course there is always the Wild Lights at the Columbus Zoon and Aquarium.

Those who love to browse for hand crafted items can visit the Ohio Expo Center, Multipurpose Building on December 3rd. through the 5th.
