Libraries are not just for taking out books anymore. We are fortunate here in Wake County to have some wonderful libraries that offer many different programs to all residents. The holiday season has us finding special events all over.
By using the main Wake County Libraries link, you can find a complete schedule of events for the month of December for all of its branches. Here are some of the highlights: On Saturday, December 5th, you can go to the Wendell Library for Cookies with Santa from 10 a.m until noon; or you can visit the Cary library from 11 a.m. to noon where author Lynne Fischer will be in to read her story, "The Red Sack." Following the reading, they will have face painting and crafts. The program is for all ages and there is no sign up required.
On Tuesday, December 8, you can visit the Zebulon library and make cookie houses from 2:45 - 5:45 pm. On Wednesday, December 16, you can visit the Athens Drive Branch and get snowed in at the library! Listen to snow stories, play games, and stay to make your own snow globe. Fun for everyone!
This is just a small sampling of the many offerings that the Wake County Public Libraries have this year. There is something for everyone to enjoy this holiday season.

We love the library! My daughter is so upset if we can't make it.
