Holiday drink recipes stir nostalgic memories

Readying for Christmas brings back fond memories of baking sugar
cookies on chilly winter days with the oven full blast warming the entire house.
Hot chocolate with piles of whipped cream and
cinnamon sprinkles was necessary to round out the experience for warming inner glow. Moving into adulthood sometimes
hot chocolate was exchanged for hot tea with
gingerbread cookies on the side. Even so the experience was less about the exact food and drink and more about the circumstances and who shared the moment. The
holidays abound with specific moments that trigger nostalgic memories.
With that thought in mind, mixologists have endeavored to capture these wistful moments in time within cocktail recipes for the holiday season. Hot chocolate becomes a truly heated pleasure with the addition of
Flor de Caña Rum and slice of Habañero Chili Pepper.
Egg Nog goes the extra mile with peppermint tea infused
Bombay Sapphire Gin. Gingerbread cookies will never taste the same with
Lucid Absinthe taking this little cookie for a delicious liquid spin.
