As the holiday season swings into full gear, the San Fernando valley kicks off with parades, toy drives, concerts, and tree lighting ceremonies. Here's what's going on in the 818 this weekend:
The 90th annual Toluca Lake Open House: December 6th, Friday from 5:30pm to 9:00pm
Toluca Lake celebrates its 90th Birthday with a tree lighting ceremony, carolers on bagpipes, samples from all stores lining up Riverside Drive. There is also a Toys for Tots collection on the corner of Forman Ave and Riverside Drive.
Moorpark Tujunga Merchant's Annual Holiday Party: December 7th, Saturday from 5:00pm-9:00pm
The most secretive holiday celebration in the valley located in Tujunga Village in Studio City! Come for strolling carolers, face painters, and other festivities.
The Granada Hills Holiday Parade: December 8th, Sunday starting at 1:30pm
This year's Grand Marshall will be Tom Kenney, known for being the voice behind Sponge Bob Square Pants. With over 140 entries expected including the Wells Fargo Stagecoach, the parade will begin at Petit Ave., and end at Zelzah St. and Kingsbury Ave.
12 Days of Luminaria at the Campo de Cahuenga: December 8th, Sunday from 4pm - 8pm
