In a shocking move, TNA Impact Wrestling has released Brooke Hogan from her contract with the company. According to 411mania.com on Aug. 16, the Hogan release was discussed last night by wrestlers in the locker room but was just made public today.
The Hogan release apparently came on Tuesday or Wednesday and might have something to do with the recent budget cuts by the company. Other names let go include Matt Morgan and D-Lo Brown. While there might be a chance of her showing back up later with her dad, she is no longer on the TNA Impact Wrestling payroll.
Brooke Hogan was acting as the person in charge of the Knockout's Division.
One thing the Hogan release brings into question is whether or not Hulk Hogan might be on his way out as well. Just last week, the WWE released the surprising news that Hulk Hogan agreed to a contract that allowed the WWE to use his likeness in their upcoming WWE 2K14 videogame. It might be a coincidence that his daughter’s release came just days later, but it also brings out the conspiracy theorists.
With TNA in a state of turmoil right now, and a Hulk Hogan-favorite in Matt Morgan was released, it seems like Hogan may be losing some power in TNA. The Brooke Hogan release is another sign that the Hulkster’s days in TNA might be numbered.
