This award is given to the angler who does not own a boat, but who fishes with others in the club out of different boats.

The Hodag Bassmasters also celebrated the return of another traveling trophy, The Challenge Trophy. Each year The Hodag Bassmasters fish against the Shawano Red Nek Bass Busters in a Challenge tournament. The Hodag club lost the challenge last year, so they picked the lake for the August 2013. The Challenge was held on Boom Lake in Rhinelander. Both clubs had a good turnout, but when the weights were averaged, the Hodag Bassmasters were victorious. Club members stated that they were happy to have the trophy back and were looking forward to fishing whatever lake the Shawano Club picked for 2014.

The Hodag Bassmasters will start up their monthly meetings again in March of 2014. The meetings are held on the first Monday of every month from March to December and for 2014 the meetings will be held at The Claridge Restaurant inside the Days Inn & Suites of Rhinelander. The meetings begin at 7 p.m. and anyone interested in fishing with the club is encouraged to attend. More details about the club can be found on their Website. Anglers need not have a boat to join the club, and all skill levels are welcomed.
