This week in Huntsville is all about the ice hockey. There are four ice hockey games this week. That highlights your week ahead here in Huntsville.

Hockey takes center stage at the Von Braun Center

There are four ice hockey games this week at the Von Braun Center's Propst Arena in downtown Huntsville. On Thursday, February 20, the Huntsville Havoc take on Fayetteville. On Friday, February 21, the UAH Chargers take on Lake Superior State. On Saturday, February 22, there are two hockey games: UAH will take on Lake Superior State, and the Huntsville Havoc will take on the Mississippi Riverkings.

Other events happening this week...

Shipps Baptist Church in Gurley rescheduled their revival due to the winter weather we had last week. The new dates for the revival will be Monday, February 17, through Wednesday, February 19, with services beginning at 7 p.m. each night. Rev. Bud Durham will be preaching. Shipps Baptist Church is located on Little Cove Road between U.S. Highway 72 and Dug Hill Road.

Two plays will be held at the Von Braun Center this week. Broadway Theatre League will present "Flashdance The Musical" in the Concert Hall. Fantasy Playhouse presents "The Great Cross Country Race or the Hare and the Tortise" in the Playhouse.

Jon Batiste & Stay Human perform at Decatur's Princess Theatre on Saturday, February 22, at 7:30 p.m.

Lowe Mill has several musical performances this week. Will Johnson will perform on Wednesday, February 19, at 8 p.m. in the Tangled String Studios. Winslow Davis will perform on Saturday, February 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Flying Monkey Arts Center. Fourth Sunday Magic with Russell Davis will perform on Sunday, February 23, at 2-6 p.m. in the Flying Monkey Arts Center.

SHOUT OUT FOR THE WEEK

A special shout out for this week goes to the Madison County High School boys basketball team, who are representing the Gurley area and the Huntsville area in the reginal tournament. GO TIGERS!!!!!
