Hitmen trade Riddle to Raiders

According to the Calgary Hitmen website on Tuesday, the Calgary Hitmen have traded defenseman Brennan Riddle and a third round pick in the 2015 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft to the Prince Albert Raiders for a second round pick in the 2014 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft and a fourth round pick in the 2015 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

Riddle was the Hitmen's first round pick, 17th overall in the 2012 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. So far this season, he had two goals and ten assists for twelve points in 27 games with the Tisdale Trojans in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League. Riddle also played for Team West at the 2014 World U-17 Hockey Challenge in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

This was the second trade the Hitmen have made with the Raiders this season. On December 28, the Hitmen acquired Mike Winther from Prince Albert.

The Hitmen currently have a record of 28-8-5 and lead the Edmonton Oil Kings by eight points in the Eastern Conference standings.
