According to the Calgary Hitmen website, the Calgary Hitmen have traded left winger Austin Calladine to the Saskatoon Blades on Thursday for a conditional eighth round pick in the 2015 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.
In 33 games in 2012-13 with the Hitmen, Calladine registered one goal and two assists for three points. He also was a -7 with 12 penalty minutes.
Calladine also played the opening game for the Hitmen this season, but failed to register a point in the Hitmen's 7-3 loss to the Edmonton Oil Kings.
Calladine was very excited about the move. A native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Calladine posted on his twitter account, @AustinCalladine, "Just wanna say thank you to the @WHLHitmen for the past year and everything, what a great bunch of guys too. But very excited for a fresh (start)".
The Hitmen will play their home opener on Saturday, September 28 against the Red Deer Rebels. Game time at the Scotiabank Saddledome is 7:00 p.m.
