The Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League are having a tough time trying to put the puck in the back of the opposition's net.
According to the Calgary Hitmen website, the team enters play in Portland, Oregon tonight without scoring a goal in their last two games.
The Hitmen lost 6-0 to the Saskatoon Blades on Friday and then 2-0 to the Prince Albert Raiders on Saturday. Tonight's game against the Winterhawks is the fifth of a nine game road trip for the Hitmen, a road trip that has seen the team go 1-3 so far.
The Hitmen are currently in second place in the Eastern Conference's Central Division with a record of 33 wins, 16 losses and four overtime or shootout losses.
Left wing Cody Sylvester currently leads the team with 26 goals and 58 points. The Hitmen's next home game will not be until February 16 when they host the Victoria Royals. Game time at the Scotiabank Saddledome will be 7:00 p.m.
