Hitmen name Moore assistant general manager Monday

According to the Calgary Hitmen website, the Calgary Hitmen have named Mike Moore their assistant general manager on Monday.

This is the second time Moore has been the Hitmen's assistant general manager. He previously held the position during the 1997-98 season. Moore has also been the general manager for the Kamloops Blazers and Medicine Hat Tigers.

Moore was previously the Hitmen's Director of Business Operations. Moore has his masters in business administration from the University of Calgary and has previously worked as the director of athletics at the Calgary Edge School.

Moore was also credited for the very successful outdoors game between the Calgary Hitmen and Regina Pats at McMahon Stadium on February 21, 2011. For his outstanding work, Moore won the 2011 Western Hockey League Marketing and Public Relations Award after the Hitmen set a Canadian Hockey League single game attendance record of 20,888.

The Hitmen are currently in second place in the Central Division, ten points back of the Edmonton Oil Kings.
