The game between the Tigers and Hitmen will feature two of the top four teams currently in the Western Hockey League's Eastern Conference. The Tigers are in third place with a record of 17-8-3, while the Hitmen are in fourth place with a record of 16-7-4.

The Hitmen have won their last three games including a 5-2 victory over the Red Deer Rebels on Tuesday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
