Hitmen acquire Mayor from Pats Thursday

According to the Calgary Hitmen website, the Calgary Hitmen have acquired left winger Colten Mayor from the Regina Pats for right winger Carson Samoridny and a fourth round draft pick in the 2013 Western Hockey League bantam draft.

Mayor has 12 goals and 10 assists in 44 games with the Red Deer Rebels and Regina Pats in the 2012-13 season. This is the second time this season Mayor was traded. On October 18, Mayor was traded from Red Deer to Regina with defenceman Stephen Hak for a fourth and sixth round draft pick in the 2015 Western Hockey League bantam draft.

Samoridny meanwhile had seven goals and eight assists for 15 points in 40 games for the Hitmen this season.

The Hitmen are currently leading the Western Hockey League's Central Division with 62 points. They are three points up on the Edmonton Oil Kings.

The Hitmen next play the Pats Friday night in Regina, with their next home game January 18 against the Prince George Cougars at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
